  32. I would disagree a bit - part of the reason the Amiga`s OS is so good is that 
  33. it takes advantage of all the custom chips - delegating many of the functions. 
  34.  It isn`t affected as much by large processor loads - which is thankful for an 
  35. `020 (& esp. `000).

  37. Cool hardware still makes one hell of a difference!  Back in 1988 the Amiga 
  38. could shift a decent (for then) GUI with little trouble - today it doesn`t 
  39. require much more (unless you go for a 128 colour 640*512 Wb), where as 
  40. Windows95 (which is supposedly an OS in it's own right) needs a Pentium and 
  41. 16Mb to shift as fast (or faster)...

  45. Guess we can keep on arguing this out till we see how the Power Amiga 
  46. performs, and whether it has custom chips.
